From 7 to 11 August 2018, the Church of Christ the Savior, with the support of the Solid Rock mission, organized a camp for children in the village of Razdory, Dnipropetrovsk region. 70 children took part in it.
"The theme of our camp was" I am a Christian." We want to show the children that Christianity is modern, cool and interesting"- coordinator Olga Filonenko told about the purpose of the camp. For 4 days, children from 4 to 18 years old studied the Word of God, played and learned sports, learned new Christian songs. Also, each child had the opportunity to visit the role of an actor, artist and chef. The children were having fun jumping on the trampoline and going down the hill; they could enjoy cotton candy, popcorn and ice cream. For children, there was a pool in which they could swim, play and have fun. Every evening, the teenagers gathered in a meeting, where they communicated with the ministers on the topics of occultism, purity, pre-marriage relationships, and various addictions. At the end of the camp, 18 children responded to alter call for repentance, which showed the importance of the camp.
The children also shared their impressions of the camp:
"I liked to learn a lot of new biblical stories," said Alyona.
"For the first time I heard so much about God, I did not think that Christianity is so interesting," said Igor.
"I really liked this camp, it's never boring here," Vika shared.
